The original moka coffee pot, Moka Express, is the first stovetop espresso maker. It represents the authentic Italian way of brewing coffee and has a distinct design featuring a gentleman with a moustache from 1933, when it was invented by Alfonso Bialetti.
Manufactured in Italy, it boasts quality and includes a patented safety valve for easy cleaning. The handle is ergonomically designed, and the pot comes in various sizes suitable for gas, electric, and induction stovetops (when used with the Bialetti induction adapter plate).
To prepare the coffee, fill the boiler up to the safety valve and add ground coffee without compacting it. Close the moka pot and place it on the stovetop. Once the Moka Express starts bubbling, turn off the heat, and the coffee will be ready.
Moka Express sizes are indicated by espresso cups, and coffee can be enjoyed in espresso cups or larger containers.
For cleaning, simply rinse the Bialetti Moka Express with water after use. Avoid using detergents and refrain from washing it in the dishwasher to prevent damage and preserve the coffee's flavor.
