The original moka coffee pot, named Moka Express, is the initial stovetop espresso maker. It offers the authentic Italian method of preparing a delicious coffee. Its unique shape and distinguished gentleman with a moustache have been around since 1933, when Alfonso Bialetti invented it.
Originating from Italy, it is produced in Italy and its quality is boosted by the patented safety valve, which simplifies cleaning. It also features an ergonomic handle and is available in various sizes that are compatible with gas, electric, and induction stovetops (with the Bialetti induction adapter plate).
To prepare the coffee, simply fill the boiler up to the safety valve and add ground coffee without pressing it. Close the moka pot and place it on the stovetop. Once the Moka Express starts to gurgle, turn off the heat, and the coffee will be ready to enjoy.
Moka Express offers a range of sizes to accommodate different needs. The sizes are measured in Espresso Cups, allowing coffee to be enjoyed in either Espresso Cups or larger containers.
Cleaning the Bialetti Moka Express is simple. After use, it only requires rinsing with clean water. Detergents should not be used, and washing the product in a dishwasher will cause irreparable damage and potentially alter the taste of the coffee.
