The original moka coffee pot, Moka Express, is the first stovetop espresso maker, offering the true Italian coffee experience. Its distinctive design and iconic gentleman with a mustache date back to 1933, when it was invented by Alfonso Bialetti.
Crafted in Italy, it is enhanced by a patented safety valve and ergonomic handle, and is available in various sizes for use on gas, electric, and induction stovetops (with the Bialetti induction adapter plate).
To prepare the coffee, fill the boiler to the safety valve, then add ground coffee without pressing it down. Close the moka pot and place it on the stove. When the Moka Express begins to gurgle, turn off the heat and the coffee will be ready.
Moka Express is available in sizes measured in Espresso Cups, suitable for enjoying coffee in standard-sized cups or larger containers.
For cleaning, rinse the Bialetti Moka Express with clean water only, and do not use detergents. It should not be washed in a dishwasher, as this will irreparably damage it and alter the taste of the coffee.
