The original stovetop espresso maker is Moka Express, the gentleman with a moustache and its unique shape date back to 1933 when it was invented by Alfonso Bialetti.
It is manufactured in Italy and features a patented safety valve and ergonomic handle, available in various sizes and suitable for gas, electric, and induction (with the Bialetti induction adapter plate).
To prepare the coffee, fill the boiler to the safety valve, add ground coffee without pressing, close the pot, and place it on the stovetop. Once it starts to gurgle, turn off the fire and the coffee will be ready.
The sizes of Moka Express are measured in espresso cups and can be enjoyed in smaller or larger containers.
After use, rinse the Bialetti Moka Express with water only. Do not use detergents or wash it in the dishwasher, as this could damage the product and affect the taste of the coffee.
